Summer update

I’m back to update my home page after a long leave of absence. Sorry about that... Right now I’m in Flims, Switzerland. Skating. Without injuries! Do I have to explain how that feels?

Well, it feel great! To be able to skate and work hard at this time of year, to continue where I left off instead of restarting, is amazing.

During the spring I was at home, doing the last exams for the term (ended already in early June)and training. Hard. Not so much on the ice, since they close most of the rinks in Sweden in the end of March, but off the ice. I got a though program from my fitness coach. I trained with a running team to get better stamina. I started boxing! I trained with sprinters to become faster. This year was going to become my year. And it felt good, training instead of jumping around on crutches as last year...

In June the summer camps began, with two weeks of skating in Göteborg. The first week was pretty tough, but it went better and better. Then I went to Oberstdorf for two weeks, skating with Thomas Verner, Anton Kovalevski and my roommate Philipp Tischendorf. It was a lot of fun and good training, I skated for mr Huth. Then I came home for a little vacation, just taking it easy with my family and friends, enjoying life. And here I am in Flims, must be the 10th time or something :) It’s good to be back in the Swiss mountains, training for mr Kudriavtsev again. Skating is going well, and my new programs are almost ready. They both are a new style for me, and I think they will be great.

I just turned 27, quite a lot for a figure skater, but I don’t feel ready to give up just yet. I want to give everything I have to try and reach my goals. Maybe for the last time...
